The health and safety of the industry’s work-force is a fundamental objective of the responsible exploration of the oil, natural gas, hydrocarbon storage and solution-mining industries of Ontario.
The OPI’s commitment to health and safety through the training workshops it offers is to ensure the industry is provided with the most up-to-date training programs available including: First Line Blowout Prevention, Well Service Blowout Prevention and H2S Alive Training.
In addition, the OPI works closely with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources on ensuring that the industry work-force is kept informed on the health and safety measures that are included in the regulatory regime that governs the Ontario oil, natural gas, hydrocarbon storage and solution-mining industries:
